Hello Loves,

I'm so on a roll right now an I'm loving it. I have been enjoying the shooting and the posting here on my blog and on my Instagram. My goal for this year is to double the amount of subscribers on my YouTube and on my Instagram. I feel that if I keep the content coming I will reach that goal. Nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it and know that nothing is handed without some hard work. Life can be what you make of it, so be wise.

I love this whole look. It looks very chic and sophisticated...almost makes me look like those elegant back in the day movie stars. At least I know that this may be something they would have worn.

Catch you on the next post,
Cari

Hello Loves,

Busy week and tomorrow is an important day as I have an interview for potential new job. I been looking for something more full-time even though I know that it will take me away from my blogging, gym and kids a bit more. Ultimately it's all to provide them with a better life. I know this has nothing to do with my attire..remember that I am trying to share a little bit more about my life with you.

Anyways, do you have a favorite pair of jeans? Mine is this one from Express. Express has the most comfortable stretchy pants and they fit so well. My husband also likes this one and his reason might be different from mine. But his reason is also good. :)

Do you have a favorite pair of jeans? Have you retired it?

I have an older pair and I still rock those. They might be with me for a while.

XO, Cari

Hello Loves,

El Nino, el nino that's all I've heard the weather casters talk about and yet I see no sign of it. This past weekend we were told once more that we would have some rain and us, SoCals, rain is something everyone is looking forward to. We been so dry that we can benefit from any drops we can get. Not only that but it gives us an excuse to cuddle in bed, drink hot chocolate and watch a movie. But yet again, we were played with. NO RAIN.
This outfit was inspired by this so called weekend rained which turned out to be just an overcast day. All that was needed to complete this look was an umbrella and rain. Now they are forecasting another storm for the weekend, yet another tease.

Stay warm my friends.

Cari

Hello Loves,

So in my last posts I shared a little about my trip to Mexico, like the food, the festivities and some of the attire. I have a great appreciation my parent's hometown but I also know that there is a lot more beautiful places in Mexico that I would love to visit. So for now I said good-bye to Michoacan, Mexico and hello to all the other wonderful places Mexico has to offer. Mexico has so many beautiful places that it's sad to see it's own people destroy it with so much violence and corruption.
That was another one of my major, hair rising worries. I was put at ease many times when they informed me that the things out there were calm. Man, did I have some freak-outs. When I start to think negatively, my mind has a way of taking all those thoughts and running with it. Still that does not take away with the other major problem going around the republic.
Even with all that, I have plans to visit Cancun and I would also like to visit Cabo. I love love love  taking trips. Specially if it involves bathing under the sun with a cool, refreshing adult drink on the side. Oh YES! That's the life.

What other places should I add to my "Must Visit," list?

Xo, Cari

Hello Loves,

One of the things that I was looking forward on my trip to Mexico was the food. I have a memories of eating tacos, of grabbing bags of fresh fruit and garbanzos in the town's market. I'm a girl who loves to eat, so you can imagine me stuffing myself with a variety of different Mexican dishes. In those very distant memories I remember the food being superb. On this trip with my high expectations I was let down. The tacos felt short of flavor and just didn't leave up to that far away memory. There was only one dish from a restaurant that I really enjoyed, Camarones a la diabla. That is basically shrimp cooked in a spicy sauce with rice and beans as the standard sides. There are some location here in the Southern California that can give those Mexican made tacos a run for their money. What a let down.

I did however enjoy the little snack that the destination had to offer. You can't be let down with those regards of where you get them from. The hotel that I plan to stay at for my visit to Cancun has a outside bar which has nothing but seafood dishes. I was solely sold to this hotel because of those pictures of their many dishes. Im really looking forward to being by the pool and eating a couple shrimp tacos.

Some food can get really messy and therefore I had to be very careful not to get any taco sauce on this outfit. I add to this outfit a long white coat which id not pictured here to give me a bit of warmed since it got in the mid 40s at night. Now do you see why eating tacos wouldn't be a good idea. I still did it anyway...there were my good-bye tacos. Tacos I won't be eating again, at least not from that location. They were my good-bye small town in Mexico who I won't be visiting again in quite some years.

This was my last outfit before coming back to the states.

Hello Loves,

So I'm picking up where I left off in my last post. I was sharing a little about my trip to Mexico. To share with you a little more of the exact location or at least the state to which I traveled, Michoacan, Mexico. I was born there are brought to the US at the age of two. Other than visiting my grandma, my other reason for being there was because my sister tied the knot. Honestly if it wasn't for those two reasons I would have ended up in Cancun instead (no worries..that's still  in the plans). I shared some of the pictures of the wedding on my Instagram, @ CariCollazo.

The time that we were there, the town dressed up in their finest colors to celebrate their annual festivities. There are both with candy, food, alcoholic drinks, games and much more. They also have various of musical groups that play every single night. The festivities last for approximately 7 days. Each night is a party and everyone dresses up in they best attire. This is what I wore one of those nights.

More to come on the next post.

Cari

Hello Loves,

I been thinking a lot about my blog. I've felt as if my blog was missing that personal connection with my readers. My post tended to be straight forward with details on the outfits. That to me seems very boooooring. I've decided to use my blog as a form of expression not only in fashion but also in my personal life. Although I won't be sharing every single detail of my life, I will be sharing pieces of it. I hope you guys find this more pleasing and at least a bit entertaining than my last posts.

    Let's begin, shall we.

In my last post I featured two outfits from my recent trip to my parent's home country.  It had been 14 years since my last visit to my parent's small little town in Mexico. It was suppose to be a trip in which I spent time with my dear grandma who I hadn't seen in years. Unfortunately, she left us before I had a chance to see her. First day there it was like it was finally sinking in that she was no longer with us. Specially much more when my stay there would be at her home which she started to fix up when she found out we would be visiting. It was still nice to introduce my husband to the place where my family came from and to see family.

During the time there we had a lot of town festivities and I wore varies outfits. I was unable to capture them all so once I got back to the states..I went on snapping. So the next couple of post will feature more details about my trip and outfits worn.

Hello Dolls,

Last summer I felt like there was absolutely no color in fashion. I felt that everything was very neutral. When I think of summer fashion, I think of pastel, bright colors and florals. I found this top and jeans at Express. Even thought we aren't anywhere near Summer I enjoyed having some kind of color in my attire. Does anyone else felt like color was missing this past summer?
